26 June, 2025 – The Maharashtra School Education Department will release the First Year Junior College (FYJC) 2025 CAP Round 1 seat allotment list today, June 26, at 5:00 PM. Students can check their seat allocation on the official admission portal, mahafyjcadmissions.in.
The vacancy list for Regular Round 2, including quota seats in junior colleges, will be displayed on July 5, 2025.
This year, 9,435 junior colleges and higher secondary schools have registered for the CAP round one, offering a total of 21,23,040 seats. Of these, 18,97,526 seats are available through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) and 2,25,514 are reserved under various quotas.
Centralised Admission Process Implemented Statewide
For the first time, the CAP system is being implemented across all divisions in Maharashtra, allowing students from any part of the state to apply for admission through a unified online portal. This brings transparency, equal opportunity, and improved efficiency to the admission process. The total seats are distributed as – Science Stream (8.52 lakh seats), Commerce Stream (5.40 lakh seats), and Arts Stream (6.50 lakh seats).
The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for FYJC 2025 covers eight regions – Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Note: The Konkan division is excluded from the CAP admission process.

Follow these steps to check your seat allotment result:

- On the homepage, Click on FYJC 1st merit list download link or
- Login with your credentials (If needed)
- Check your name and roll number in the allotment list
- Download and print the list for future reference
What to Do After Seat Allotment?
- If allotted your first preference, visit the respective junior college and complete the admission process within the given deadline to confirm your seat.
- If not satisfied with the seat allotment, you may wait for the next round without confirming admission in the current round.
- If no seat is allotted, wait for the next round which will be displayed on July 5, 2025 as per the official schedule.
